Mission Statement:
The purpose of the New Hampshire Horse Council is to promote
the interests
of the entire equine industry of New Hampshire,
to act as a liaison among various horse groups, to disseminate information
and educate both the legislature and the general public,
act as official voice of the state equine industry, and as an advisory body to
the University of New Hampshire, College of Life Sciences and Agriculture,
the NH State Department of Agriculture and the NH Farm Bureau
Horse Advisory Committee regarding the horse industry and related
horse activities or programs.

Published Hoofin' It, 1998 Equine Services Directory,
sponsored in part by NH Dept of Agriculture, Markets & Food.
Published Horses - Sharing The Trails with a grant from
the NH Department of Parks & Recreation.
Established Horseperson of the Year Award.
Affiliated with the American Horse Council.
Provided free horse industry education workshops at the
Farm &
Forest Expo.
Achieved incorporation and non-profit status.
In 2005 accepted position as
Fiscal Agent for NH Farm Bureau Equine Committee Basic Equine Education
workshops.
2006
* Two NHHC members helped the Town of Londonderry to realize that it needed no change in existing ordinance, thus preserving agriculture.
* Formulated the Triple E Information sheet to increase public awareness of the matter.
* Joined together with the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers to complete the Blackwater Dam Project.
2007
Treasurer Tom Grinley followed thru with information regarding invasive species & received an email fromPeter Ellis of The society for the Protection of NH Forests responding that he will make a point of reconsidering the role that the NHHC and horse riders in general can play in NH land conservation.
